San Diego Young Professional Board

The San Diego Young Professional Board is a group of talented, passionate, young professionals committing their time and talents to inspiring hope and happiness in kids actively fighting cancer.
About Designing Dreams:
Designing Dreams completely transforms bedrooms of kids actively fighting cancer to give them an uplifting space to heal, hope, and play for the incredibly long road of treatment.

A childhood cancer diagnosis often means the child is removed from school, sports, and extracurricular activities while on treatment, with most treatments lasting 2.5 - 3.5 years.

We cut no corners for these brave kids. Their room is completely overhauled through partnerships with professional interior designers and includes hand-painted murals, new and custom furniture, and an overall theme that brings each child’s favorite things into their room. We’re talking ballet bars into bedrooms, race car beds, gaming stations, hockey rinks in basements, and much more.

The time commitment is on average 5 hours per month. It consists of communication in a group chat as well as mandatory monthly meetings.
